NIGERIA GOVERNMENT PLANS TO EXTEND CLOSURE OF SCHOOL

Information reaching us has it that the Nigeria government are planning to extend the closure of varsities, polytechnic and college of education by another two week due to increase of Covid-19 across the nation.

 

According to our informant the presidential taskforce and the ministry of health will hold a meeting today, April 10th 2020, to review the general situation cause by Covid-19 across the country.

 

It will be recalled that on 16th March, 2020 the Nigeria government through the National Universities Commission (NUC) has order the closure of all universities, polytechnics and college of education across the nation to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

 

A reliable source close to the National Universities Commission (NUC) told our informant that surely there will be an extension of the closure of varsities, polytechnic and college of education across the nation by another two week with effect from Monday 13th April 2020 due to the new cases been announced in some state and also with the increase of Covid-19 in Lagos state, that is the reason why the Nigeria government through the minister of education have order school to resume virtual teaching but not withstanding we awaits directive from above.
