This is to inform teachers, students, parents and the general public of the Ebonyi State School System that due to Statewide curfew as a result of the #ENDSARS crisis, all Ebonyi State Primary and Secondary School shall remain closed. This closure shall subsist in strict trajectory with EBSG
curfew and/or responses to the #ENDSARS public
disturbances.

 

The Ministry of Education regrets the inconveniences that this development might cause to our teachers,students andparents.

EBONYI STATE UNIVERSITY TO RESUME ON WEDNESDAY, 21ST OCTOBER 2020.

Students are advised to return to school and continue their academic activities just like other higher institutions in the Southeast, Nigeria.

The Ebonyi State Government has announce that all schools with exception of  kindergarten are to reopen 5th October, 2020.

 

According to our informant umerah Raphael this was disclose by the S.A Media Publicity Nnwaze Francis on his official Facebook account.

 

He went further to state that Exco also approved the staggering of classes in two sessions (morning 8 am- 12 pm and Afternoon 12:15 – 4.15 pm) in order to maintain social distancing. First four weeks will be used to end the 2020 academic session while other weeks will be used to commence the 2021 academic session.

Exco rescinded decision on the resumption of nursery and kindergarten citing the inability of self-control of the kindergarten kids.

 

In a related development, King David Int’l School will also resume this October

 

Ebonyi State Schools COVID-19 Prevention Protocols

  • Hand washing sports to guarantee regular washing of hands by students, teachers or anyone entering the school.
  • Sitting arrangement in classes must be mapped 2 metres away from each other to prevent body contact.
  • It is compulsory for all students and teachers to use face masks. Parents are also to use face masks anytime they are coming to drop or pick their children from school.
  • Assembly, social gatherings and sport activities are suspended for now.
  • Infrared thermometer to test body temperature at the entrance of the school.
