Anambra State Schools Resumption Date 2020/2021 | 1st Term

LATEST UPDATE:-Obiano said: “Schools in Anambra shall not re-open on January 18, 2021 as earlier scheduled. Rather, schools will re-open after two weeks from today to enable the principals and teachers prepare for the return of our children

 

The Ministry of Basic Education announces a new resumption date for the Second half-First term of the 2020/2021 academic session. The new date is 26th January 2021.

 

The change in date is the sequel to the directive of His Excellency, Chief Dr Willile Oblano, Gov. of Anambra State.

 

The Ministry wishes to reiterate that the earlier directives on guidelines for the resumption of schools subsist and must be followed strictly. Consequently, all schools are once again directed to observe all the COVID-19 prevention protocols as stipulated in the guidelines.

Note that no child or teacher is to be allowed into the school compound without the face mask, while schools Infirmarians are requested to rise to their responsibilities of ensuring regular temperature check of all entrants into the School compound, among others.

 

For the avoidance of doubt, schools are advised to refer to the earlier circulated Guidelines for the resumption of schools.

 

Please help the Education family and Anambra State Government to keep the second wave of Coronavirus away from our schools.

 

Please note that:
* Teaching on Air still continues. There may be change in the timetable and you will be advised accordingly.

* Schools are advised to continue with their online teaching.

* Principals/ Head Teachers should also ensure that schools observe thirty minutes uninterrupted sustained silent reading on World Literacy Day as the Hon. Commissioner and team might pay a surprise visit to schools.

* All approved extra- curricular activities in schools are suspended.

Schools with large population are to run two shifts: Junior Secondary 8am- 12 noon while Senior Secondary, 12.30pm – 4.30pm.

 

Schools with smaller population should have all classes start at 8am- 1pm.

 

The school must have water bucket at so many spot in the school with sanitizer

 

Students should take break at different time.

 

No morning Assembly, No sporting activities or any group activities.

 

All students must wear white face mask to school. To be provided by the parents.

 

All should be guided accordingly.
